Downtown

Downtown Tucson has a long and rich history that has evolved much since being established in 1775 as El Presidio del Tucson. Downtown's residential neighborhoods showcase Tucson's rich history with a variety of architectural styles.

While ever expanding and improving, Downtown Tucson offers unique shopping, a variety of restaurants and bars, vintage theaters, bed-and-breakfasts, exciting nightlife, and impressive architecture. Click here for a Downtown event calendar.

Check it out: The Historic Hotel Congress, built in 1919, has been the hub of Downtown Tucson history and nightlife for nearly a century and is the longest continually operating hotel in Arizona. Also on-site is the award-winning Cup Cafe as well as Club Congress, one of Tucson's premier nightclubs for over two decades, featuring live music and dancing nearly every night of the week.
