The City's Environmental Services department provides Tucson citizens and businesses with refuse collection and disposal. Its other services include:
- Recycling and waste reduction services.
- Operating the City's Los Reales Landfill in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Cleaning up groundwater at old landfills.
- Cleaning up leaking underground fuel storage tank sites.
- Enforcing the Neighborhood Preservation Ordinance and other environmental codes.
- Ensuring that the City's Air quality and industrial waste discharge permits are up-to-date and in compliance.
Additional environmental resources are: Tucson Recycles, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Pima County Solid Waste Management, Earth 911, and Household Hazardous Waste.
