President & CEO Joe Snell 520.243.1970 Joe’s commitment to regionalism is integral to TREO’s position as a catalyst for the community’s economic development future as he oversees the strategy, direction, collaborative agreements, and finances of the organization.
Kristine Peiffer Assistant to the President 520.243.1962 Kris performs, coordinates and oversees diversified office administrative duties for TREO's CEO.
Business Development Lee J. Smith Sr. Vice President, Business Development 520.243.1909 Lee oversees programs and activities that encourage the expansion/retention of existing Tucson-area businesses and also assists businesses considering relocating/expanding to the Tucson region.
Gerri Brunson Department Coordinator 520.243.1945 Gerri performs complex and confidential administrative related functions to ensure the Business Development department operations flow smoothly.
Julie Sapp Manager, Business Attraction & Expansion 520.243.1927 Julie works with companies who are considering relocation or expansion to the Tucson area. In addition, she is responsible for all TREO research projects and supervises the Business Development Specialists.
Edgar Campa-Palafox Business Development Specialist 520.243.1943 Edgar conducts technical research and provides project coordination assistance.
Al Altuna Sr. Project Manager 520.243.1929 Al coordinates the Inland Port effort for TREO and works as a freight planner for Pima Association of Governments. As a founding member of the Southern Arizona Logistics Organization (SALEO) he works on promoting best industry practices that will improve the safety, reliability and velocity of freight movements through our region.
Paul Swift Sr. Project Manager 520.243.1947 Paul administers the Tucson region’s Empowerment Zone (HUD Program), Enterprise Zone (Arizona Department of Commerce Program), TREO’s Business Outreach Program, and TREO’s Business Advocacy Services Program.
Raul Gamez Sr. Project Manager 520.243.1946 Raul provides a vital link to the Hispanic community and international trade opportunities with Mexico in his work in business attraction, retention and expansion.
Strategic Partnerships David Welsh Sr. Vice President, Strategic Partnerships 520.243.1922 David is responsible for management of a wide range of economic development programs and projects while focusing on working with stakeholders and regional economic development partners. David also oversees the Investor Relations department of TREO, in addition to the overall strategic partnerships of the organization.
Jennifer Strunk Administrative Assistant 520.243.1981 Jennifer coordinates and oversees office administrative duties in support of the Strategic Partnerships Department.
BJ Smith Vice President, Investor Relations 520.243.1916 BJ works with businesses interested in supporting and investing in TREO, as well as current investor assistance.
Regional Competitiveness Kendall Bert Sr. Vice President, Special Projects 520.243.1956 Kendall focuses on special projects designed to move the Greater Tucson Region forward in keeping with the Economic Blueprint.
Corporate & Community Affairs Laura Shaw Sr. Vice President, Corporate & Community Affairs 520.243.1940 Laura oversees all marketing, community relations, and public relations activities of TREO, serving as TREO's main media contact and spokesperson. In addition, she coordinates the Economic Blueprint implementation activities and staffs the Power of Five Mobilization Council.
Vicki Polheber Marketing & Communications Manager 520.243.1917 Vicki plans, develops, and executes all external marketing collateral and programs for TREO, including business attraction and local business expansion support.
Erin Coulter Marketing & Communications Coordinator 520.243.1935 Erin is primarily responsible for writing, graphic design, and maintenance of the TREO Web site. She also assists the department with event coordination, media relations, and the development of TREO’s e-Newsletter.
Business Administration Cathy Casper Sr. Vice President, Business Administration 520.243.1960 Cathy serves as the Chief Financial Officer of TREO. She is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the Finance, Human Resources, Administrative and Facilities functions of the organization.
Patricia Young Human Resources Manager 520.243.1912 Pat manages all human resources policies, programs, practices and activities such as hiring, training, compensation, benefit administration, payroll, health & safety while ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
Glenn Fournie Office/Facilities Manager 520.243.1944 Glenn is responsible for overall office/facilities activities such as general reception administration, purchasing and IT services.
Tiffany Gardner Accounting Specialist 520.243.1958 Tiffany serves as the accounts payable/accounts receivable specialist, performs various clerical and bookkeeping duties, and Quickbooks database management.
