James K. Beckmann, Jr., is President and CEO for Carondelet Health Network, part of the Ascension Health network. Ascension Health is the nation’s largest Catholic not-for-profit healthcare system.

Beckmann joined Carondelet Health Network in September 2011. Before that he served in a variety of leadership positions within Ascension Health - most recently as Senior Vice President for System Support Services where he had executive management responsibility for Supply Chain, Risk Management, Corporate Responsibility and the Facility Resources Group. He also served as Chief Risk Officer and Corporate Responsibility Officer. Prior to joining Ascension Health in 2003, Beckmann enjoyed a 16-year career as an executive in the insurance industry.

Beckmann earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and his MBA from the University of Tampa in Florida.
