Dan Alcombright is President and Chief Executive Officer of SOLON Corporation and is responsible for the firm’s strategic growth in North America.

Previously Alcombright was Vice President and General Manager for SOLON and oversaw the company’s growth into a top-five leader in utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects and a top-ten provider of power purchasing agreements (PPAs). Under his leadership, SOLON has opened offices in Phoenix and San Francisco and has increased its PV installations including major utility-scale projects with top US-based utilities such as Tucson Electric Power, Arizona Public Service, and Pacific Gas and Electric.

Dan has more than 20 years of experience in Project Management and Executive Leadership in automation and large-scale system design. Prior to joining SOLON, Dan was the Business Unit General Manager of Automation Tooling Systems where he was responsible for P&L performance as well as functional management of all aspects of the business unit ~ sales, operations, finance, and human resources.

He earned his BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from University of Saint Thomas, MN.
